Man is a social animal. We are suppose to follow set of rules (written; sometimes unwritten too) to live in the society. Breaking the rules could mean being tagged as uncivilized (theoretically) or even being said as not pertaining to clean-character

Realistically, probably.... But in my head, it is the conscience that defines the unconventional... What have you been brought up and the experiences in your life brought you to believe is conventional/unconventional... Or maybe I've totally mis-understood the point
