au_muses Write about the best Christmas you ever had.

Christmas holiday was always one of Harry's favorite times of year. Not only did it mean some fun adventure, but it meant that his uncle Remus would be joining them for the duration of his break from Hogwarts. Over the years they had spent the holiday in various cities and countries. Each place providing it's own unique charm, and endless possibilities on how to celebrate properly.

Harry was bouncing as he held on to his dad's hand while they waited for Remus to meet them in Copenhagen. Sirius had promised this particular vacation in Denmark would be a real treat for the nine year old. Harry didn't doubt his dad one bit. If anyone knew how to properly celebrate Christmas it was Sirius Black.

He spotted Remus before Remus spotted them. Releasing his hold on his godfather's hand, the little boy ran as fast as his legs could carry him and practically hurled himself at his uncle, hugging him tightly. "Uncle REMUS!" This was one of the reasons they couldn't pick Remus up at Kings Cross. Harry got entirely too excited when he first greeted his uncle, and it would have drawn too much attention to them. "We've been waiting forever. He stepped back from the giant hug and grinned as Sirius embraced Remus.

"Yes, Moony, forever. An hour and a half is a very long time you know," Sirius teased as he reached for one of Moony's bags.

"Wait until you see the castle we're staying in. It's brilliant, Uncle Remus. There is an indoor pool and everything." Harry was bouncing. He had been bouncing ever since the motorbike pulled up to the castle a few hours before.

"A castle, Padfoot? Really?" There was a bit of an exasperated tone, but Harry caught the twinkle in his eyes and the slight tug at his lips.

"Right on the water. Hell of a view."

"There's an amusement park too. Tivoli Gardens. It's all done up in Christmas! They have rides and shows, and loads of stuff to do. Oh can we go tonight, Dad? Please?" There was pleading green eyes shot in Siri's direction.

"We could spend all day there if we go tomorrow," his godfather suggested.

Harry appeared to think this over. A big smile appeared on his face as he reached for each of their hands and walked between them. "Yes, but we could get a head start and really learn the way of the place if we were to go tonight. It will make seeing everything tomorrow much more efficient."

There was a barking laugh that echoed all the way toward the awaiting taxi. They had to take Muggle transportation here.

"It depends on how tired your uncle is. We have two full weeks of exploring Copenhagen, Lad." Sirius said gently.

Remus immediately was greeted with a tug on his hand and big green eyes giving him their best impression of Padfoot's puppy eyes. "Are you too tired to visit the gardens tonight, Uncle Remus?"

"I think I can manage a few hours, Harry. After all, if you treat the gardens anything like Padfoot treats Black Friday, a few hours of careful planning will be needed to ensure a proper attack in the morning." There was a definite tugging at his lips this time.

"New Year's Eve in Vienna, right, Dad?" Harry asked for what had to be the tenth time since they finalized their holiday plans. "They have the best fireworks."

"Indeed."

All of Harry Potter's Christmases were brilliant. Each year he'd swear this one was the best he had ever had. The fact was it didn't matter if it was Denmark, Switzerland, Aspen, New York, or those tropical holidays in Mexico or Hawaii; Christmas was the best ever because he had his entire family with him.

But if you really made him choose his favorite he'd settle on Tivoli Gardens. After all, you haven't lived until your godfather charms the rides to go so fast that some of the other kids end up throwing up hot chocolate in the snow when they got off the ride.

Heh. Amateurs.
