I've said that so many times too! Poor sayyida, having to slog through this... fertilizer.

I did see your LJ post but have had my computer in bits while my office is painted. Need I post there as well to request to remain friended? I enjoy your posts, though I've been a serious slacker about responding. *blushes*

You know, the bad thing is that grammar check might have caught a few of these if they'd only used it. It also tells me that the person didn't read over it. If they had, they would have seen that it doesn't make any sense.

It is significantly painful. But I've read your writing before. I can honestly say I don't think I'd be posting YOUR papers to my LJ as examples of what NOT to turn in. Sigh.

Ugh.

I can only assume how this person did in his/her English classes. *hugs* Sorry you have to deal with them.

I am, too. I wish I knew exactly who it was. I have more than 300 kids in this class. So it's all fairly anonymous.

You know... that might be an interesting study.

Is the writing quality better in smaller classes where the prof knows the kids names and they can't anonymously turn in shit like that?

I would certainly hope so, but probably not. I know several supposedly educated people who don't have any grasp of spelling and grammar. They are, however, gifted in things like math and sciences, so perhaps it has to do with the way their brains are wired.

It's still irritating, though, and I can't imagine having the patience to be a professor, or a teacher of any kind, where I would have to deal with so many people like that on a daily basis.

Argh! *sporks eyes*

Now this is a good example of why I could never be an English teacher (or any other kind of teacher now that I come to think of it).
