I'm back...from the grave! (dun, dun, duuuuuun)

Apr 27, 2009 16:54

Well folks, it's been a hell of a week. I'm sure you noticed from my last entry that I wasn't feeling so hot. Yeah, well...I've been in the hospital for a week and have been diagnosed with MS. There's a lot more to say on the subject and I have a lot to write down in my blog, for future reference and reflection. But now is not the time. I've ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry to hear that spankies, I'm here if you need anything. My mother was diagnosed about four and a half years ago now, so if there's anything I can do to help...

I'm sorry to hear about your mom...hopefully she's doing very well and managing it. I've been getting progressively better and am making major leaps forward in my recovery. It won't be long before I'm back to my old self again - lol! I really appreciate your concern. Hugs to you and your family. ^^

Heh...I'm doing pretty good, ya know? It's not as terrible a thing as it could have been. They were initially thinking a brain tumor - so yeah...I'm pretty happy with the diagnosis. lol! I'm recovering really fast and I think the initial attack is almost over with. Just gotta wait for my body to heal the damage and I'll be back in the saddle. ^^ Thanks for your concern - loves to ya!

Oh good. Yeah, getting freaked about something like, tomorrow terminal, then getting told it's something else, sorta softens the blow, that's for sure.

I'll try to get some fic written so at least you got somethin' to read :)

Your prayers and luffs are much appreciated, my dear! They must be working because I'm healing at a pretty rapid rate. ^^ Hopefully I'll get to see you again soon - let me know when you're gonna be in Reno so we can rock the sushi. Heeee!

I'm heading back out to Utah this summer for Thesis work - I should be hanging around Susanville (and thus Reno) about the first week of June. I'm totally up for sushi because all Chico's sushi is mediocre alacarte bs.

Wootness! I'll be around for part of the first week in June. I do have a graduation to go to but I won't be gone long. Lemme know when you're around so we can hook up and stuff ourselves with some fishy goodness. ^^

Well - the initial thought was a brain tumor...so the news of MS was sorta a relief. lol!! I'm doing better by the day and I know it won't be long before I make a full recovery. I'm not really sure when to tell when an attack is over with and when recovery really starts - I suppose time will tell (maybe...I'm confident this won't happen again for many years, if ever) but it seems like the worst is over and I'm getting back on my feet - literally and figuratively. Ha! Thanks for the hugs, darlin! I'll continue to keep you and everyone else updated. ^^

Uh, I'm so sorry to read that ;_;
But, but... Don't give up, yeah? They will have told you more about MS than I'd ever know, but I have to tell (even if just to add to the pile of stories you might be told) that a very good friend of mine has MS and they can keep it at bay and there is an (almost) fully normal life possible with it (well, as normal as it gets ^^").
*hugs*

Thanks so much for the hugs! And you know - I have heard a bunch of stories from people who know someone with MS - it's definitely not a death sentence and I know with a little faith and effort on my part, this will all be put behind me in no time. As far as diseases go...I guess this one wasn't such a bad draw. Could have been far worse, so I feel blessed that this is all it was. lol!
