This was very compelling. I found it both emotionally powerful and infinitely believable, when it could have very easily gone wrong. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you liked it! I occasionally had to rein myself in before I got too carried away, so I'm glad that the more understated version seems believable. Thank you for saying so. :)
I absolutely loved this - the team dynamics were played out so wonderfully and all the little details were exquisite. And Steve in competent!caring!Captain mode is just something I adore endlessly.
That's one of my favorite kinds of Steve! Thanks for leaving a message, it's been a while since I wrote, so I'm happy people are into it. I don't really have plans to write a sequel to this, but I am like 30 pages in to an OTTeam fic so I will be writing more Avengers at least.
This is absolutely precious. I love that they're all still learning to work together as a team, but unhesitatingly resolved to support and help Natasha and Clint work through their mental wind-down, love that you went into the depth of detail and reasoning that really made their mind-state convincing, love doped-on-painkillers Coulson, and love Clint and Natasha's reactions when they wake up back as themselves XD Wonderful stuff all round.
Thank you for the compliments! I figured it was one of those things where they'd saved the world together, so of course they couldn't just write them off, they were better than family now.
