It was really interesting reading about the election from an insider point of view. It was actually kind of comforting to know that there are so many checks in place to ensure fairness. As for me, I had the odd experience of actually standing in line to vote. I guess that's what I get for going after 5 instead of in the middle of the work day like I usually try to.
When you finally get over to DW, I'll see you there.

I waited in line in 2008 in Denver County. It took about an hour, I think. What I've done since then is fill out my mail-in ballot then drop it off at the front of the voting center on election day; it's quite a bit quicker. Not sure how many other states let people do that, though.

I might move over to DW also...it seems like that's where most people are going, and since I primarily use LJ as a way to connect with friends, it doesn't help if none of my friends really use it much anymore :(
