I've decided I'm moving over to Dreamwidth to restart a public blog in the next 2-3 months. I'll post the address once I've actually created the account. It'll be at least a few weeks. Right now I'm getting over a sinus infection, next week is packed with audits and three new projects at work, next weekend I'm flying to Seattle for a venture

First of all, hope you feel better soon. Sinus infections are nasty.

It was really interesting reading about the election from an insider point of view. It was actually kind of comforting to know that there are so many checks in place to ensure fairness. As for me, I had the odd experience of actually standing in line to vote. I guess that's what I get for going after 5 instead of in the middle of the work day like I usually try to.

Colorado at least is pretty good about how they handle voting machines, even though they don't need to be - Romney conceded 20 minutes before the supervisor judge and I hand-delivered the machines' memory cards to the election office, and we were one of the first centers in the county to finish. I wish I knew how places like Ohio and Florida handle automated vote processing.

I waited in line in 2008 in Denver County. It took about an hour, I think. What I've done since then is fill out my mail-in ballot then drop it off at the front of the voting center on election day; it's quite a bit quicker. Not sure how many other states let people do that, though.

I might move over to DW also...it seems like that's where most people are going, and since I primarily use LJ as a way to connect with friends, it doesn't help if none of my friends really use it much anymore :(
