I'm so sorry. I was doing much the same with Tails last night. *hugs* I hope she's got lots and lots of good time left. This is possibly the hardest part about having pets - wishing they could tell you what they want. :(

Thank you. We hope so too. It is the hardest thing. I get choked up whenever I think of her not being here. Now that we have children it is going to be very difficult for them to deal with it when she does pass away. I hope I can be strong for them.

Susan, I'm so sorry for you and your family. I cried for days after my cat Zappa died. Nine years is a long time to have her as part of your family.

Thanks Sandi. I appreciate the thoughts. Didn't you used to list Zappa in your sig on alt.newlywed or somewhere a long time ago? I know I will be crying for a while with Lucy too. I wish I could have her for at least 9 more years. She really is our baby as Dave and I have had her for so long, long before getting our children. I am going to call the vet and ask him about all of the info Hillary gave me and see what else can be done since we have decided on no more surgeries.
