Details of my injury behind cut

My neighbor was over to cut A & B's hair. She uses electric shears/clippers. The clippers were on a table plugged into an extension cord (not turned on but with the plastic guards off). I tried to step *over* the cord but instead tripped over it causing the clippers to fall off the table and hit me in the heel with the blade/teeth. I even broke a few teeth off of the cutting blade. It hurt like hell but I didn't cry--the boys were right there asking if I was OK. I definitely was hopping up and down and washed it out right away. I thought it needed stitches but DH and some of his friends were saying it would be fine. That's the last time I listen to DH about my health!! I waited until the next morning and went to the emergency room. Good thing I asked the doctor to irrigate the wound too because he wasn't going to and when he did that is when he saw that the cut was so deep and the tendon had been cut.

So, not too bad right? Just a freak accident.
