I liked this very much. I understand what you mean about not crossing over a line regarding this subject, and I think you have written this fic tastefully.

I like the wistful, gentle, caring feeling throughout this. The dream keeps it just on that side of unreality; nevertheless, it gives that sense of the Doctor's relationship with the Tardis still progressing, wondering, questioning.

One small tip, if I may: Make sure that any time there is a change in speaker, you begin a new paragraph. It makes it much easier to understand who is speaking. :)

thank you very much! i'm glad you think i got it right.

and yes, i usually do, and have in the past, but i find that i end up with one- or two-line paragraphs. i suppose this is a cheating kind of way of making them a bit thicker, or seem so at least, but you're right, it would read better if i started a new line each time it switches.
