Turn back the clocks

Nov 04, 2007 00:35

Going to bed soonish but I felt like writing a bit beforehand. This has been a pretty damn good workweek. A MAJOR project came my way that I’m really excited about and could be great for my career. More later under a locked post I promise ( Read more... )

dating, state of being, mountain biking

That's not a lame post at all, that's a great post! Seriously!

Do tell us more about the whole "guys in their early-mid 20’s" VS "guys in their 30s" thing... :)

And you are just too funny for feeling sick after those drinks. I don't even know how much I drank. I stopped counting after five, and that's not including all that those bartender chicks kept pouring down my throat on the bar!

I'm suprised I remember the whole night, frankly :D

Of course you think it's a great post, because part of it was about you! ;-)

Yes, yes, insights to come later. Probably not today since I'm already ready for a nap and I just got up! Meeting the boys at 11 for a ride. Hope the traffic isn't too sucky due to the Marathon.

So why am I funny about feeling sick? The rest of me was fine. I was coherent, walked fine, everything! Just the stomach wasn't too happy. I was actually wondering if it was the quiche rather than the raspberry kamikazes. Yeah, you were drinking quite a lot. How much longer after I left were you guys there? I did have a really fun night, I feel like we should do that more often. Of course I would like my imaginary friend to be there too, but he's not ready to be more than just a figment of my imagination I guess ;-)

Oh, and I remembered what it was I had to do tonight! Some of the female MTB crew are in a band together and they are playing downtown tonight.

Oh it has nothing to do with the fact that it was partly about me. I just like when you write posts with variety instead of your usual single-topic-specific posts, and each part has more info and depth than just a throwaway line. :)

We left not long after you. *FLORIAN* actually decided that *I* had had enough! Which was totally true, because I fell down and skinned my left knee on the sidewalk and then when we got home I sat down in the bathtub and didn't want to get up.

Heh. Dr0nk.

Whale tails!? Seriously!? I had no idea people over the age of 14 actually still did that. Ick!

It was part of the "required uniform". Yeah, those outfits were horrible and purely for entertaining men while they dance around on top of the bar, ugh. Yeah, interesting contrast, you had whale tales and then "I want my sex-in0the-city" experience girls. I just don't know that I will every understand that. But yeah, it was a bit weird when they started showing up at that place.

Mkay.... there were plenty of "I want my sex-and-the-city experience" girls, but what the hell is a Whale Tale? I'm glad I must have been looking elsewhere at the time.

Whale Tale is when a woman's thong is sticking out from her pants.

just so you know, a whale tail is a "gaviota" (seagull, for non-Spanish speakers) here in Chile. Se te ve la gaviota! (your whale tail is showing!). Still no good word for muffin top here though. Probably because it's the norm, not the exception.

Men in their 30s, excellent. Men in their 20s, please, no! (but I'm 36...)

Gaviota, I love it!

Yeah, now that I'm hitting 30, there's no way I want to be dating guys in their 20's. But it is nice to see how men have matured since last time I was on the market :D
