I just went to a networked printer that a lot of us share to go and collect something that i had sent to print and there was a pile of stuff that had been printed. On sifting through to find mine i found that someone had printed out 10 pages of my freinds list posts (only 2 pages of 10 had been left behind) not only this but holes had been punched ( Read more... )

God, that is extremely creepy :/ What are you gonna do? Can someone access your LJ and all at work? Have you told anyone about it?

This sounds very serious Babe. Are you sure you didn't do it yourself by accident? Either way, I'm sure it contavenes the Data Protection Act or even basic privacy laws somewhere along the line. You need to contact your network administrator (assuming you ar OK to use the internet at work...) and find out whodunnit. Then drag them in front of some kind of management. And have the b*stards sacked...

it'll be worth while checking if those friends posts included those which are friends only, if this is the case then that means someone has your password (of course this is assuming that you are certain you always log out of lj)

either way i would suggest you change your password immediately and change to friends only. I'd also advise that when you change the password do so on a non-work machine as it is possible that there may be a 'keylogging' program on it which would then pick up whatever you changed your password to. This is probably how they got your password in the first place (assuming that they did).

Why would they do this - well it depends how backstabbing your workplace is really, someone may be trying to prove you are using the internet instead of doing work - that sort of thing .

About the hole being punched in the sides, check the paper tray to see if some one has loaded punched paper into the printer - thats most likely, as i find it hard to believe that some one would punch them then replace them back in the pile.

That's all a lil' unnerving. I hope you do as digitaljunky says and at least find out who it is. There should be a log of the printouts sent to that printer, so your network admin guy can trace 'em.

Hmmm...Sure that it's not your sys admin keeping tabs on who's looking at non-work sites and taking them as evidence?

Take care dear, hope it sorts out soon.
