had a surpise birthday party for M this weekend - went pretty well. I invited 2 people from eah area of her life so her 2 fav people from work, her 2 fav people from when she was at uni, her 2 fav freind though me etc. Anyway it made for a pertty cool night as no-one knew more than 1-2 people directly everyone got to know new people and i thought

they dont have many like that in canada - victorian is historic for them!.
Anyway we are still considereiung it cos its 45 mins from where we both work - which doesnt sound long in uk terms but factor in the snow and shitty canadian weather it becomes an issue.But its a a pretty village next to a huge lake - its so picturesque. Also ill be onthe move with my job soon so i guess it depends where i go. John hopkins in baltimore may be an option now too
