This reminds me of what Venakat Rao wrote about he relationship of narrative and strategy: a master strategist is good at telling a story, and more importantly, eliminating all but the key turning points. Decision makers uses these key points; the nuances come later.

Since reading that, I've been practicing this on Quora. At least for writing. Telling a story has been a different story ...
