Except that I hope that your grandfather and your family get through through the pain quickly. I'll pray that next year your Thanksgiving will not include such a painful demonstration of the intangible power and preciousness of family, beyond a possible argument over the last slice of pie.
Oh, Sarah! That's horrible news...at least your grandfather is still alive. I hope he and your grandmother cope with the loss. What comfort could I offer? *HUG* My thoughts are with you...
Very sorry to hear about your grandfather. These things are really hard having been there twice now. You and your family have my best wishes and support!! It does really beat a stroke though, so at least they caught the problem in time. *Hugs*
Dear Sarah, So sad to read this :( Like everyone else, I am wishing the best for you and your family. I'm glad they at least prevented a stroke. *hug hug hug*
(The other day J and I spotted people covering a chunk of the park in white blankets, pegging them down, and unrolling big rolls of white fluff over them before spraying them in place with something. The city, I take it, is preparing for Xmas.)
I can answer this with authority now, because my brother just got me my ticket (using his frequent flyer miles). I will be there Dec. 22 till Jan. 2. So I will see you as soon as we can manage it, and I'll be coming to your New Years party!
