Burgundian & GFD Shape

I've been playing with making a Burgundian dress - and now that I've made both a straight front GFD (Gothic Fitted Dress) and a curved front GFD I have to wonder which would be more appropriate for the Burgundian under gown. Lucky for me, gwacie  was willing to let me play with her Burgundian overdress as a test:

Straight Front GFD (front)                             Curved Front GFD (front)

Straight Front GFD (side)                             Curved Front GFD (side)

Straight Front GFD (back)                            Curved Front GFD
(back - the belt here is tighter 'cause it broke and I'm holding it in place...)

Straight Front GFD (from above)                 Curved Front GFD (from above)

For me, I think it's going to be a curved front under dress. Interestingly, gwacie  says that she thinks the straight front GFD works better for her figure vis-a-vis her Burgundian over gown. (For those of you not familiar with the Straight-front vs. Curved-front GFD see La Cotte Simple)
