Its been a mildly uneventful week. With the exception that my evil job has put out "mandatory" overtime until Sept. because, well, let's just say because they can't seem to figure out what they're doing. I will be happy when I get to move out of our coverage area and no longer have to work for them. *crosses fingers*

But I'm not here to complain. ( Read more... )

Hey-lo Christine!

It's great to see that you're not taking the "employment" news as badly as some people would, and it's fantastic that you're putting a positive spin on it. Chances are that job wasn't "meant to be" anyhow, or else ...er ... it would have happened. I'm betting there's something way better out there for you and when you find it, you'll feel really relieved that the dispatcher job fell through.

It sucks that there's a "mandatory" overtime at your workplace. *shudders at the thought* I feel your pain.

Good luck with the other jobs and take care, Lady!

*high five*

And yeah, "mandatory" overtime is never fun. I mean, I can handle working OT, and I could use the money, but if you knew our manager...what an arrogant man. Don't like him at all. The email alone he sent out to let us all know we had to work was just horribly written. See, we're severely understaffed and we're trying to change too much stuff at one time, so in his email, he basically told us that we're not getting the calls answered fast enough and we need to make more of an effort. Hence the OT. But enough complaining, I'm better than that and he only makes me angry ( ... )

Ugh, sounds like you really need to tell your boss where to go. Maybe that moment will come sooner than you think. One can only hope, eh? :o)

I'm doing wonderfully! And thank you for asking. *hugs*

Ha! I wish! But I won't...I'm usually all talk. Besides, I don't really fancy being fired anytime soon. I'd prefer to have another job awaiting me before I do anything rash. >:)

I'm doing wonderfully! And thank you for asking.

That's great to hear. Glad you're doing wonderfully. *hugs back*

Mandatory time? Good gosh..

I'm going to echo Michelle here: Good luck with the other jobs :) It's great that you're thinking positive on all this.

Take care! ♥

Nitya!!!

Mandatory time?

Yes, evil isn't it? Actually, it's not so bad this time around. They're allowing us to work after our shifts, rather than always before our shifts this time. Which means I'll be working until 3 or 4 AM for quite some time. But, money is money, right? And thanks for the luck...I think I'll need it. Hope all is well with you...talk to you later.

Hmm...that doesn't sound so bad, actually.

And you're right..money is money. :P

Sort of well, sort of not. But thanks! Hope to talk to you soon. :)

No harm in trying out for that job. :) Keep looking.

Will your overtime affect your classes? I'm not sure if you're done with your studies?
