The book I'm reading says to avoid peanuts at all costs. They say to replace them with almond butter, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, cashews, and sunflower seeds.

With 100 calories for 33 kernels... how in the hell do you gain weight? You can sit at what? 1000+ calories per day? Figure 2 kernels per peanut, you're eating.... 165 peanuts??
I eat more than just peanuts, however as a snack eating a can of boiled peanuts is about 800 calories which is a lot for a snack. I take in 2200 calories a day with an active lifestyle.
