That's horrible! Why is there a monster in the lake? Why couldn't the City heal up the holes it put in your tail and fins? What an terrible thing!

I'm not really sure! I guess maybe it's another mythical thing that isn't really mythical. Maybe it talks, too! .. But it's scary, so I'm not sure I'd want it to talk.

I guess the city is kind of mean.

Maybe it is a nice water monster and only eats plankton or something?

It is a mean City! I wish we had a pond you can go to here!

Miss Cat-Lady says it seems to be nice enough.. But it might eat fish-people! So I'm staying away for now.

I think they have something in the gardens.. but I really want to visit the zoo. Have you been to the zoo yet?

I swim in there all the time, and the creature is rather placid, even to Merrows...

I'm not a Merrow. I'm a fish-person. And I don't like scary things with teeth. .. At least, I think it has teeth.

...

The lake is pretty large, I'm sure you'd be fine. I've gotten close to it on my excursions into the lake and am in one piece.

Sounds like a lot of work...

Has anyone come to help you yet?

It is! My scales are all brittle and sharp right now.. They look awful. ):

.. No. But that's okay! I'm sure I can figure a way back, myself! If I have to, I can drag myself pretty far on dry land. I just really, really, really, really don't like it, because it kind of hurts and it scrapes my scales off and then it takes forever for them to grow back.

That's sad. But I'm sure they still look nice.

I don't think you need to go that far to get back to the tank. All you should have to do is think about where you want to go and walk ..swim, I guess? You should be there in no time.

Really? Is that how I got here? .. Huh. No one told me that! So I could go to the ocean, too! Or the zoo!
