Our Vacation to the NC Mountains

We spent last week on vacation in a cabin in the mountains close to Boone and Valle Crucis, NC.  Just around the corner from us was Grandfather Moutain.  From our cabin, we could see the mountain but not the "face" that's pictured below.

Mitchell looks so relaxed in that rocker there. :-)

The cabin looks big. Was it just a bed and chairs and bathroom in there or did it have a kitchenette?

After all the wineries John and I went to at Sonoma and Napa, I am still sick of wineries! You and Mitchell should really go to those two places soon as they are right up your alley and it's really not a very expensive vacation since you can fly into San Fran from Baltimore by Southwest.

I wasn't awake, but Mitchell woke me up! It was only 6:30 which isn't bad since we wake up at 5:45 on work days.

The cabin was a 3 br where one of the bedrooms was a loft. It had 2 full baths so we both had our own.

At one time I would have enjoyed a vacation to the CA wine country, but there are so many other places I rather visit.

That's a big cabin!

I still find it hard to believe that people wake up 5:30ish during the work week although John wakes up at 5:20 every morning. I'd be exhausted by 4:30 if I did that.
