Writer's Block: Eat, Drink, Be Merry

I'm not a picky eater, so there aren't too many foods I find disgusting.  Poorly prepared food is a different story.  One time a friend's mother made a dish with asparagus out of a can....ugh.  It took years before Mitchell could bring himself to eat it again.  That is, until I prepared it fresh.

I've eaten asparagus out of a can. I don't mind it but it does taste better fresh and crisp with some sauce on it. You probably shouldn't tell Mitchell but I've eaten said asparagus cold out of the can. And I also eat cold Campbell's chicken noodle soup out of the can when I want a low-caloric quick lunch. I drain all the juices out and eat da noodles. John is horrified when I do that.

I am not a picky eater either. I don't like asparagus, snail or seafood other than scallops, crawfish, fish or shrimp. I love liver and gizzards.

One thing I cannot stand is to eat in a room with even one fly in it. I am grossed out. As you know, I spent my childhood summers, kindergarten and sixth grade living in Honduras. I barely ate when I lived there. My aunt thought it was because I didn't like to eat. It was because there were flies everywhere and I couldn't take it when they touched the food. If there's a fly in the house, I will hunt it down.
