I recommend These following books by Sarra Manning, she's a british teen writer.

Let's get Lost
The Diary of a Crush series (there are only 3 of them)
Pretty things

I see that you have read books by Maureen Johnson, have you read 13 little blue envelopes? loved girl at sea!

I will have to check them out! I admire teen writers as I want to become one myself. Well, I'm past my teen years (LOL I'm going to be 21 in May and I feel ANCIENT) but I still aspire to be a young adult author. I also love series.

13 Little Blue Envelopes was the first book I read by her! I've read all of her books except Suite Scarlett, which I am reading now. It was so slow but now I'm finding it to be more enjoyable. I feel like her books are hits or misses. I did not enjoy The Bermudez Triangle but LOVED Girl At Sea. The Key To The Golden Firebird was my favorite though.

If you have more to suggest, please do! I'm going to add these to my GoodReads to-read list, though. Thank you!

ETA: OH YOU MEANT A BRITISH TEEN WRITER AS IN SHE WRITES BOOKS FOR TEENS. Haha, I interpreted it wrongly.

no problem! haha i'm 21, but i'm a sucker for teen books! something just hit me with the 3 i listed though, love them a lot.

sorry about the mix up, yep she's an awesome author from england! the other teen books she's been writing lately are a lot different so i haven't really looked at them. btw, i love that she use's british teen slang in her books, makes things interesting.

I love British Slang! When I read the Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging series when I was younger, it tickled me.

I just requested Pretty Things from BookMooch.com so hopefully the owner will approve it and I can read it soon!
