[Scar could have sworn he heard the faint laughter of hyenas, especially that of his three lieutenants. But, further investigation of his cave and the surrounding forest yielded no results and to make matters worse, it was overcast again. This meant his favorite pass

[This girl is hanging out around the outskirts of the village. She's never seen a lion before, honestly, so she's curious. After all, this fur seems... odd. As compared to what she saw in movies, after all. Silent idle staring/watching ahoy]

[His tail twitches as he realizes someone is watching him. Really, it's impolite to stare. Scar glances around to try and find the culprit, finally spotting her on the outskirts of the village.

He just stared at her, emerald eyes sizing her up as his winds and tail twitch.]

[Oh dear, now it's looking at her. Her expression is still muted (no active personality and all) so it doesn't display fear or startling or anything, just a brief eyebrow arch and minor eye widening to show some - maybe surprise? Oh yes, that's it.

...Hm. She can't speak yet. She just looks meeting the gaze]

[Scar quirks an eyebrow at this creature. He couldn't tell what it was. It's scent was unfamiliar to him. Yet, from what he could see it may be.. curious? About him.

Admittedly, he was a little bit curious himself. So he took a seat and curled his tail around his front paws.]

It's impolite to stare you know.

[...PROCES- okay she barely needs to look before concluding that this one is not human and therefore not a valid user. Normally, animals would be overlooked entirely unless a user pointed them out, but talking- forces him into a bracket.

Okay, non-user. No real change except that, well, vocal reply-] Sorry.

[That's in a flat tone though. Apologetic, but still flat]

[How can such a flat tone manage to sound apologetic? This creature became more interesting by the moment. This prompted Scar to get on his feet again. He slowly moved closer, circling the girl, tightening the pattern each time.]

[Muted emotion! Or well, something like that. She tried to sound apologetic anyway. That said, she doesn't know to be afraid - hell she doesn't have meat to eat, but she just tries to follow Scar with her eyes because this is somehow interesting]

[Oh curious indeed. Most would have tried to move away by now. Was he not threatening enough? He tightened the circle to the point that he was just barely brushing against her legs before moving off to sit barely five feet in front of her.]

Well now. This is interesting. Are you going to tell me who you are or are you going to stand there like a complete idiot.

My name's Heart. [...A pause. Well, that's a designated nick-name. So after the pause-] You can call me whatever you want though.

[Still fairly monotone through the whole thing]

[Heart. He raised en eyebrow at the name. Really, he wasn't one to talk about names. His tail twitched a bit before he shook out his long black mane.]

What a charming name I'm sure. You may call me Scar, King of the Pride Lands. Or I was before coming here. Really, it was rude of them to steal a king from his kingdom.

Yeah, it does sound rude. [...Still flat, but her face turns into a very very slight frown]

[He hid a smirk as he managed to school himself into look sad, even lowering his head and ears.]

Yes indeed. Yet, I suppose this place isn't so bad. It just takes time to adjust to.

[She somehow thinks that must be lonely. But the tone is too flat to really tell a meaning from that]

[Scar, lonely? Not quite. He misses being in charge. He had to go through quite a bit to gain his position after all.]

What a pity. It would be nice to have more of my own kind around.
