Autumn arrives suddenly
It seemed that the leaves fell off the trees all at once. A carpet of leaves seemed more like a blanket of snow. All beautifully coloured and crunchy - I even allowed myself a wistful smile seeing a small child joyfully kicking through a pile of leaves ( Read more... ) -
Technical Hitch
Hmm I have managed to kill my Freeview box, all the 'coverflow' artwork on my iPod went pink and pixelly for a while, Sage got stuck in a loop and just continually flashed windows at me. Wonder what else is going to glitch?

WWRY: First Night
The day was not auspicious - it was grey and pissed down continually. I hauled together all my costumes and drove over to the venue, pausing only to buy big bottle of water and some fruity chewy sweets to make my mouth water.

Not good: In their infinite wisdom (and while I was absent with my bad back) my gym have decided to replace BodyCombat "due to irregular attendance" with TaeBo "that works well already in the lunchtime slot". WWRY: Fried Chicken
Mostly we worked on 'One Vision' which is quite an uplifting tune so that gave us a boost. Then we tried putting the dance in and things went a little ropey. Ah well, constant repetition should sort the words out (which are of course different to the original). A swift recap of 'Fat Bottomed Girls' and then ran through to the big ending. Having stayed over at my parents', I got up early and woke myself up with coffee and half-and-half toast. Dad drove and we went via the back doubles which made good time. Back to Crap
Really very fed up with my back :(
I have tried sitting about and gentle walking, Syndol and spray-on Ibuleve, hot baths and wheaty heat bag. It seems to be getting worse in that because the lower back (right hand side) is inflamed(?) the rest of my back has stiffened up to compensate. Aaargh.

My Thursday was spent eating painkillers and wincing before very slowly making my way to the station, the tube, and Pizza Hut to meet the rest of the group for H's 30th bash.
