It's been a while!
Hey Everyone, I can't believe it's been nearly 7 months since I last posted something on this journal! I hope that everyone is doing well. I have a lot of catching up to do with you all and a few things to post. Will try to keep it brief (who am I kidding).
* I'm done with school for a long time to come. Graduated in May (or rather walked) and officially completed all degree requirements early June 2011.
* Have a new job in my field of study (social work) and have been there for six months. So much to learn and everyday is definitely a learning experience but I am really enjoying it. It is a challenging job but knowing that all that hard work is helping someone makes it all worth it. It's funny how much my previous experience as an administrative assistant has come in handy.
*Signed up to take the licensing exam. Have to get serious about studying especially since I spent $280 to apply and register for the test.
* Got a texturizer after having natural hair for 10+ years. Started off beautifully but now I am regretting it (looooong story for another post). We will see what will happen with my NEW hairdresser.
Let's see other stuff:
*Had a pretty great 30th birthday! Went on a cruise with my big sister to the Bahamas. It was AWESOME. I've never been out of the country and we had to celebrate our milestone birthdays in style. Also Uncharted 3 came out on my birthday. It's like they did that just for me! LOL! While I enjoyed the game, I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the story compared to the previous games. Some elements just felt rushed and other things dragged on a little too long. Sully is still my favorite!
* I'm so into Justified it's not even funny. I think that Raylan Givens is one of the best characters ever (except when he's acting p**** whipped). Just love that show! I'm really enjoying the series Grimm on NBC. Monroe is my favorite character on the show because he is so funny and adorable. Plus, the actor was Haywire on Prison Break! How can you go wrong? Also watched all of Teen Wolf on Netflix. Surprisingly good show. Was expecting it to suck! Speaking of sucking, I threw Hawaii Five-O to the curb last month. That show is ridiculous and not in a good way.
I miss my peeps! How are you all doing? What have you been up too? Any new shows/games/books/etc. you're into that you would recommend?
