I agree with what Emily said.

But if you pull it off, as much as I'd love one, I probably won't take one. I love having just one pet here. Lucca the frog is the perfect college pet anyway. She doesn't give a shit if her tank is dirty, she doesn't give a shit if her water is cold, she doesn't get very stressed out about being brought home in the car, and unlike betta fish, she's really fucking hardy.

But maybe my dad would like one for his fish tank. If my nazi shark dies before then anyway. He doesn't like bettas. :x But he's so cute.

the females are better social fish, and sometimes they can be just as pretty. But we'll see what happens. I ask my mom what she'd do if i wanted to breed fish. She said something along the lines of 'I really don't give a shit as long as i don't have to deal with it."

so it might actually happen.

And the more i research, the more 'cheap alternitavs' i find to some of the essentials. Like i could use the tall gladware to jar the boys when they grow up, and how to feed them when they're little with the microorganisim stuff that grows when you leave a letteuce leaf in a jar with some used fishwater. Yay stuff. OMFG, i can't wait to go home.

and thanks for the fish medicine and stuff. Silver looks a lot better now that i've changed some of his water out with the water i've treated. ^_^

Czar's a bit more active, but he still spends a good deal of time in the corner. O_o
