I was asked to be the key speaker at the large annual fundraiser, The Golden Eagle Breakfast, for the North Atlanta District of the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. I was to speak for 10 minutes on any topic of my choosing, provided it generally related to what being an Eagle Scout meant to me.

wow. thats really intense. its been a while since i've thought about being an eagle scout, but what you say is true... the things that being an eagle scout is about are not things that come about through conscious decision at every turn, but really the way that one lives...

i know its hokey in a lot of ways, or scoffed at, or whatever, but im really glad i went through and became an eagle scout. it really has meant something to me.

and thats an awesome speach you wrote. in its breadth and depth.
