Christmas

I went back to Worcester for Christmas. My mother and stepdad were both sick with chest infections, resulting in a hacking cough and lack of appetite: this made for a distinct lack of activity and an interesting percussive score. Damn. I forgot to ask my mum if I could half-inch some of her knitting needles. I was going to have another go at knitting stuff.

How is 50cm a scarf? Its barely long enough to tie in a knot. I suppose if its wide enough you could turn it into an arm-warmer?

they're about 25p each from charity shops although you will need to look for a matching pair. from shops they are £2.50-£4.50 depending on size.

I recommend 'stitch and bitch'. available in my local library.

i think she did what she could in time. But i don't understand.

i don't like to knit-pick, but i'm sure someone of your grandmother's age would have knitted an 18" scarf, not a 50cm one.

i do not miss the xmas tradition of receiveing rubbish presents i don't want and seeing people i cba to see at any other time. bah humbug etc.. x
