heeeeeeeeeey.
I'm pretty baffled by the people who are like 'omg tumblr is going to replace LJ!' because... apples and oranges, people. It's just not the same. Although tumblr would be better if it allowed people to comment on posts without reblogging them.
:( I feel like I've been hanging out on anonmemes so much that I've forgotten how to use LJ non-anon AND how not to be an asshole. At least your memes have porn on them.
True, true, although it's amazing how much drama people can create over stories about fictional characters doin the nasty.
As for anonymity and assholery: I feel like I'm living in some sort of bizarro land, because in my experience, people on the anon memes I frequent are relatively less assholish than some of the LJ comms I've followed.
Sometimes I'd swear that the only difference between anon and non-anon places is this: people will say astoundingly horrible shit non-anon if they have a bunch of fellow non-anon people who'll back them up. Whereas anon people seem more inclined to say horrible shit because they're just trolling for the hell of it.

I think I have the opposite problem, where like if I'm on tumblr or something I get confused and then realize, "wait....this isn't livejournal"

I need to post under a username more, darnit. Anonymity has its good points but feels oddly anti-social.
