Yes, it was that bad. And you know what is worse? Having these fucking wardens line up three deep to yell at me because I dared to assert that precious darling Rex has fucked us and deserves to be punished, and that we his victims deserve some vindication.

They're supposed to be the good guys. They're supposed to at least consider the greater good, the needs of the many and all that good stuff. Instead they're a bunch of selfish douchebags who don't want to be bothered.

I would never do anything to hurt every single person on the Barge. But if I did, I would expect a boot up my ass for it. I'd deserve it. Rex deserves it. The only reason people aren't discussing punishment is that he's popular. Not because he's unconscious. Not because he doesn't deserve it. He's popular and that trumps any morals and ideals that most of them have.

I mean, OK, it doesn't have to be discipline everyone would relate to... I had to punish mine for something and I knew damned well dumping him in a cell or something wouldn't do squat, so... I gave him something he'd hate and needed.

That's why I learned long ago to get on with my own thing. Nobody else will measure up to my standards but me, y'know? You've got to... OK, I know this sounds like I'm blowing sunshine up your ass, but you've got to satisfy yourself by setting the example you want the rest to follow.

I used to satisfy myself by setting that example. Then I got fucked over several times and told that because I have anger problems I somehow deserve it. Now I'm just trying to survive this shithole with my sanity intact.

I want to go home. I don't give a shit what the Admiral thinks needs fixing about me. Anyway, by his standards I'm getting worse, not better thanks to his tender mercies and this fucking place.
