Snap!
What are you doing?
“Making memories.”
Why?
“So that when the old me comes back, he’ll know what has happened since he was gone.”
The old you?
“Yes. The Ritsuka that everybody loved to be around with. The Ritsuka that mother loved. The Ritsuka that Seimei loved. The Ritsuka that I am not.”
So fitting, then, for you to be named Loveless, ne Ritsuka? The one without love.
“…Shut up, Soubi.”

There are only three paths for those who do not remember the past.
Some try to regain their memories by interacting with those in their old lives. Others try to create new memories, leaving their old life behind and embracing their future. Those people are the ones better off.
And then, there are those that withdraw away from reality, the ones that realize their past is better left hidden, but are unwilling to go forward in their lives in fear of seeing or doing something that would trigger the release of past memories. These people become a shadow of their old self; there is close to no hope for them.
It’s sad - pitiful, really - that such an intelligent young boy would be so affected by the death of his brother. Such a stubborn way to cope, forcing himself to place a block over his memories of Seimei. Then again, who am I to say. I have also sunk to the depths of my mind to wallow in the grief of losing my fighter. My Beloved.

A/N: from Soubi’s POV, who is reflecting on the changes in Ritsuka after Seimei’s death. A short one again; my mind seems incapable of writing anything long for 'Loveless' right now. Hope you liked it!
