Throw me a freakin bone....

I figured it was time for my political entry. Just a warning (like I really need to warn people) this is not going to be a pro-bush entry. I am very disapointed with the outcome of the election. I am not bitter about it though. I know that Bush won the popular vote. I am disappointed that more people chose to go with the evil they know instead of ( Read more... )

Good post. Much better than the typical "bush sux, Kerry rox, all republicans are idiots" crap.

And I seriously doubt Bush could outlaw abortion. Or that he would.

Gay marriage thing, "marriage" is religious. Civil union thing, I'm not all "yay civil union" cause i think homosexuality is wrong, but, from a legal standpoint, yeah, its be best thing.

While I don't agree with many of your points, I thank you for being thoughtful in your words and comments. As said above, not the typical post and it is appreciated. There were other issues to vote for though but I think the world was impressed with how graceful Kerry was in his concession. Very well done and he gained some measure of respect from me in that moment.

Well, I got no problems with you choosing a side. It was a tough choice for all to make. If there was one good thing I hope came out of the election results, I hope it is that musicians, movie stars and everyone one else in front of the camera would shut the hell up. Freedom of speech and all that jazz, gotcha...but what I couldn't understand was why instead of doing something they were good at, like acting or making music, they were busy droning on and on about how the president sucked/didn't suck and needed to be replaced/awarded another term. My parents are Stalwart Republicans...I, however, am a Mugwump. Conservative through my own experiences, I know when change needs to be made, and thus, a mugwump. Who did I vote for? My vote, remains a secret to everyone but me.
No one should be faulted for picking a side. However, I felt like there was too much picking sides for the wrong reasons...
This is about as political as I get...
