He looks at her, asleep on the table - the two of them just beginning a long night of vigilance, because Daisuke, Takeru and Hikari decided to stay in the Digital World for the night so they could take down more Control Spires - and, seeing her red lips, he suddenly understands how Adam felt when Eve gave him the apple.
3. Beginning
Miyako sits there, eating Iori’s mother’s fabulous food, the Digital World still on her mind, but eating, anyway; she looks at Izumi-sempai, who’s all smiles - as if he’s trying to hide something - and, strangely, feels like something has just begun.
4. Bugs
She calls him whenever her computer is bugged, and he doesn’t understand exactly why, for she’s as good with computers as he is, but it has to have something with the way she sits close to him, their arms touching, and the chills running down his spine.
5. Coffee
He used to think that coffee was the best thing to make him stay awake overnight - but that was before he started dating Miyako.
6. Dark
She never liked dark eyes that much - for her, they seemed plain, hard to understand, not like blue, green eyes which are like jewels - but Koushiro’s eyes are completely another thing: she can see, on them, swimming in the darkness, something which looks like love.

There was a moment when she thought it was the end, when Daisuke fell into the hole with V-mon and disappeared and Sora-san tried to hold her arm but didn’t manage to move her; only when she looked at Izumi-sempai’s eyes, full of determination, she brought herself to stand.

She runs ahead and practically launches herself on the grass, and he silently thinks the green and her smile merged together make the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.

The Chosen Children say Koushiro has the head of a genius, but they’ve never seen Miyako plotting ways to take him out of the computer.

After three days, Koushiro thinks he can’t support that hollow feeling anymore, so he knocks at Miyako’s door and begs her to forgive him for staying all day in computer and forgetting their date.

“This time is for my honor”, he grumbles, and Miyako, grinning like a maniac, presses the Start button so they can have another race - the fifth since they started, and, hopefully, the fifth that Koushiro will get eighth place.

“Y’know, I think you should try to ask Miyako out”, Takeru gives the advice and, when he tells him he’s afraid that she’ll dump him, he says: “Well, maybe, but hope is the most important thing there is.”

“Of course he’s going to ask you out sometime, Miyako-chan, there’s no way he can’t like you”, Hikari assures her, and, for a moment, Miyako thinks she can see her friend’s light shining, filling her spirit with confidence.

Koushiro realized he really loved Miyako when, on his way to her house, the sound of raging guitars, of furious drums and of his girlfriend screaming the lyrics startled his ears, and, instead of turning around and running, he took a breath and knocked at the Inoue’s door.

“Ne, Izumi-kun, who d’you think is the prettiest of us?”, asks one of his companions of the Computer Club with a giggle, and he blushes and gasps, then looks to Miyako - and she misinterprets the look and tells the girls to just leave Koushiro alone.

The raindrops falls on her glasses and she hates it, as much as she hates going in the rain without an umbrella, but Koushiro’s arm is around her shoulders and he’s doing what he can to assure that she stays relatively dry, so she tries to kick away the irritation.
34. Regret
She was taught to have no regrets, and she doesn’t but one; to spend so much time looking for love on every cute boy that crossed her way and forgetting to look at the boy at her side.
35. Roses
Roses are not her favorite kind of flower - she likes lilies better - but she can’t help but drool over Koushiro when he arrives at her house with a bouquet.

He looks at her sadly, for he is afraid of losing her friendship and her smile because of what he feels, and stays in silence.

Miyako’s never had stable relationships; she crushed and uncrushed a lot of times in a lot of boys, and sometimes she’s afraid that her relationship with Koushiro won’t last - that’s when he takes her hand and smiles, and she just knows she’ll love him forever.

There are very strange things about Miyako - the way her big round glasses shine menacingly whenever she sees him on the computer when he shouldn’t be there, the way she squeals and jumps when something excites her, her sudden changes of mood with no apparent reason - but he knows that’s how she’s like and he loves her for what she is.

In a war, everyone has to fight and there’s no time to love; even so, he looks at her when he can and hopes dearly, with all his heart, that she’ll be fine whenever she enters in a battle.
