so i've been wondering this ever since you started writing about [listening] ear training... what the heck is it? because the only kind of ear training i know of has very seriously to do with music, and i can't imagine that they're making you do that... soooo...?

It's The Listening Ear - a 24-hour, all volunteer, crisis intervention hotline in East Lansing. We run trainings three times a year to teach people our model of crisis intervention (it's a lot of listening skills, empathy, etc)... anyway it's 65 hours of training across two weekends which is why it devours my life during training times :)

You can find out more about the Ear here: http://www.theear.org
