It'd be hard to weigh Jesus, what with him floating on water and above the scales, and all that...

It does mean that five loaves and two small fish would feed quite a large class, but the portion sizes would be small even by Weightwatcher standards.

I have it on good authority Jesus avoided pork scratchings, but ironically most people around today who avoid pork scratchings aren't particularly fans of His.

I personally think the assumed relationship between diet and walking on water is a red herring, although Jesus did amazing culinary things with fish. When Jesus told Peter to become "A fisher of men" it is not clear whether he encouraged Peter to sell them as a commodity at the local food market. I have seen no direct evidence that he endorsed cannibalism, unless than the symbolic taking of bread and wine to represent the flesh and blood is a sinister secret message directed at encouraging the enlightened Inner Circle!

p.s. Fish are not adverse to pork scratchings - the subject grows ever more mysterious.

The big problem with this, of course, is that Jesus is immortal. Therefore he would be a fool if he didn't smoke, drink and eat cake from dawn till dusk.

I'm thinking it was a matter of availability rather than choice. It's not like McDonalds was just down the road back then. So really you could look at a lot of modern foods (say fish and chips) and say "maybe".
