Hm, I'm wondering if you're quite a bit younger than Elina, because every mid-late 20s Russian native I've ever met has expressed very similar views on childhoood in the former Soviet Union.

I'm younger by three years. Wow, that is alot. Um, everyone I know went to church. My brother was born the same year as her and he was baptised and attended church. My Mother In-law did NOT have a bad life because of it. She was second to the mayor. Yes, religion was bad at one time, but not in our generation. And if she's a Jew, yes, it was harder for her. I don't appreciate the elaboration. How can she talk about Russia when she doesn't have citizenship, she doesn't even want to speak Russian to her own son, she hasn't been there in god knows long? I don't appreciate that. And that is stemming off other things she has written in the past.
I feed her breastmilk and food.... What else would I feed her? ;)
