ok dork face......that is where he's supposed to actually do an experiment and figure that out for himself!!!!! not see if someone else did it.
very simple, get a lamp and several different wattage bulbs. set up the experiment so that the lamp & bulb are on for an hour and then put a thermometer in the near vicinity and take a reading for each different bulb. very simple good project for a kid his age.
he should do a bit of research before hand on bulb wattage etc so he can form his hypothesis before he tests it.

I think that is what we are supposed to be doing, but I'm not really clear on where he needs to go to research for his hypothesis. All I am finding are the instructions like you have given and I printed out the site Alex posted last night.
I have no idea why his dad did this to me. I failed Science!!!! So if you can give me some links for the research because that is where I am getting the most confused.
