On the blog post Response To Nick Farrell's Blog Post "Revolution in an Esoteric Order", a real gem of a remark was made that I feel the need to comment on publicly, mostly because I doubt my comment will be allowed through.

I got nothin. I can't even think why anyone would allow this to happen for so long. Maybe I just don't suffer fools at all gladly. Maybe I'm a bitch. Because for me, the answer to "What takes more courage, keeping silent in the face of unconscionable behavior or standing up for what's right?" is obvious.

Apparently for some according to a certain few on my FB, "what is unethical and immoral varies from culture to culture, and you better hope that people don't think your behavior is unethical and immoral!"

Morality is a funny thing and tends to stem from fear of getting caught/punished. I know any number of people who find me to be immoral because the spouse and I are not monogamous. Ethics aren't so flexible.

I think also that this is a religious language barrier. I was NOT raised in a Christian household and am utterly unfamiliar with the vast majority of people's hangups/connotations/paradigms in regards to such. Just the word "worship" alone I had to find out from others that it meant something utterly different for them than it did for me.

I've spent most of my life being pagan, thanks to a father who believed his daughter should explore faiths and ultimately be a good person regardless.
