To dare, to know, to will...and to keep silent (or alternatively, "shut the fuck up"). I've thought about ritual secrecy for some time. I'm still torn on it.

The only good that it does, so far as I can tell, is in the internal changes that keeping a secret has on the magician. I've never encountered secret information that actually needed to be secret because of the impact it would have on the profane.

I'm torn on secrecy as IP protection. Seems like a barrier to teaching, to me.
