[character]: Rachel Alucard
[character history / background]: Rachel is a vampire and is appointed as the head of the aristocratic Alucard Family after the ambiguous death of her father, Cravith Alucard. She lives in the Moonlit Castle with the company of a few: Her two familiars Nago and Gii, who respectively are a large black cat and red bat, and her elderly werewolf butler Valkenhayn R. Hellsing. She is responsible for saving Ragna the Bloodedge from death by biting him, thus turning him into a half-vampire.

Rachel was appointed the role of Observer by the dimensional entity known as Takamagahara. The powers of her role allowed her to remember everything that happened in each time loop, which all results in the world ending. Though she cannot interfere directly, she tries to urge the main characters to the right path with cryptic hints and tests in order to break the cycle. She is eventually successful, but relinquishes her Observer role when she uses the Tsukuyomi Unit to prevent the Hierarchical City Kagutsuchi to be destroyed, which would result in the world looping again.

A few days after the events, she now can fully take an active role in shaping the world's fate. Rachel uses this opportunity by chasing down Hazama, also known as Yuuki Terumi, who is responsible for most of the problems the cast is facing. When she finally confronts him, she unknowingly springs a magic trap, which causes her movements to be restrained.
[character abilities]: Rachel excels in the art of sorcery and is capable of controlling wind and lightning to assist her in battle, even when indoors. She can summon traps and projectiles, such as her pet frog, George XIII, who can discharge electricity when it gets near opponents before disappearing. Her other main projectile is the Tiny Lobelia, which are strange, pink ball-shaped items that turn into lightning rods when it comes in contact with the ground. Once these lightning rods are in place, she can use the Sword Iris spell, which summons lightning to strike the rods and whoever is near them. She also has a more superior version of this called Baden-Baden Lily, which incorporates Rachel herself as a lightning rod, as well as sending stronger currents of lightning towards the rods. This also indicates that she's invulnerable to being electrocuted by lightning, even if she can conduct it.

In terms of manipulating wind, the ability being called Silpheed, Rachel can cause a strong gust of wind to blow in one of eight different directions of her choosing. However, she can only use this ability a certain number of times, and can only regain enough power to use it again by remaining on the ground. Which is easier said than done. Despite being an excellent fighter from a distance, Rachel does rather poorly in close-range combat, and has very low physical defenses. Story-wise, it's actually difficult to do any real damage to her, it's more that she easily gets bored and gives up, usually calling her opponent a "fool" before teleporting away.

As she doesn't like to move much, her main mode of travel is to teleport, though she is having a harder time controlling that ability lately. Not only can she teleport herself, she can also teleport objects and other people, sometimes even by accident.

Her talents in sorcery also gives her the power of shapeshifting. Due to this, Rachel usually uses her familiars, Nago and Gii, as weapons to fight, with Nago mainly taking the form of an umbrella while Gii floats closely until he is needed as a meatshield. This ability gives Rachel a wide arsenal ranging from a sword to a cannon. Even her dress is capable of being a weapon. The red drapes on it can transform into things ranging from spikes to giant knives and forks to "discipline" opponents at the close range when she needs too. They can also transform into bat wings, which allow her to fly around when she feels like it.

Her most powerful ability comes from her possession of the Sankinshin "Tsukuyomi Unit", she can make a large shield of ultimate defense, capable of protecting an entire city from a large beam of energy that was capable of wiping it off the globe. She only uses once in the story, and implies that she only uses it as a last resort.
[character personality]: As she is an aristocrat, Rachel is highly educated, refined, and reserved. Despite her childlike appearance, she speaks in a very mature and eloquent manner, making no hesitation in showing her true age. She also has a habit of using metaphors involving life being a play, the world being a stage, and people being their actors. As an observer of the looping events of her world, she indentifies herself as "part of the audience".

However, she is also self-centered, haughty, and extremely domineering. When she speaks to most people, she addresses them with derogatory nicknames such as "child" or "idiot", and usually includes a not-so-veiled insult in her cryptic sentences. She also has the tendency to calmly threaten bodily harm, but doesn't usually act on it. When she truly does feel like "disciplining" someone---that is, hurting them---she does not give any verbal warning when she attacks, though on occassion she gives a small sigh before doing so. Due to this, she has a habit of picking fights, sometimes just to entertain herself, claiming that she's "playing" with them.

Rachel hates being bored more than anything, and constantly strives to find things or people that will entertain her. Obviously, it's become more difficult to do so in her world, due to the time loop and her being one of two people who remembers the events of each cycle. However, due to that, she usually unfazed with most things that happen. If she does find something that's new for her, she would probably react with excitement before anything else. The only one known to make her truly angry is a man named Terumi, whom she had known for several decades.

She does not like to exert any physical effort on her own whenever possible, to the point of having her familiars, Nago and Gii, fight for her. Despite how loyal they are to her, she abuses them often, not hesitating on hitting them whenever they say or do something that displeases her, and even using them as shields when she is about to receive damage. They are literally furniture and tools to her, as when out of battle, Nago transforms into a chair for her, while Gii becomes a footrest.

Her most favorite thing is tea, nearly almost to the point of a subtle obsession, calling it a beautiful art that no mere filthy peasant could grasp. She often suddenly orders Nago to turn into a chair and table, and for Gii to serve her tea, regardless of the situation or location. However, there are also times when she finds a place so detestable that she can't bring herself to enjoy a cup of tea in. Also, despite her mature attitude and behavior, she has the same tastes as a child would, favoring sweets to go along with her tea, such as scones, cake, or crumpets. She doesn't seem to like vegetables, as bell peppers are listed as one of the things she hates, and she once tells Valkenhayn that she detests tomato juice when she is told what her breakfast would be, though it may stem from the loathing of her own vampirism, which she finds to be disgusting and barbaric.

Despite her rather antagonistic personality, she truly cares for her world, and is always visibly sad when she discovers that the people that are capable of breaking the cycle once again fail to change things. Once, she becomes so frustrated with this that she actually drops her usual elegant mannerisms and punches Ragna, one of the people who could break the loop, tearfully demanding why he couldn't learn from his errors after so many repetitions, despite knowing that he is unable to remember.

[journal post]:
I begin to tire of this land and its repetitive gimmicks. Is there nothing better to do here? Not even a decent cup of tea to drink nor entertainment to be had... This slum certainly does not know of proper hospitality fit for a lady. It is most utterly disgusting, and I much yearn to brighten this dullness with a bolt of lightning.

[Rachel pauses for a bit of thought, then chuckles.] Well, I suppose I shouldn't have expected much for a place so lacking to provide me with what I desire. Very well then, I shall graciously grant a bit of playtime with a few among the lot of you all. It is a privilege that the majority of... people... who roam the streets of this berth can only dream of. Those who I deem worthy should be honored.

Heeheehee... And please, don't you dare say "no" to me of all people. Once one receives an invitation from yours truly, the only option is acceptance.

[third person / log sample]:
The scent of roses greeted Rachel as she stepped out of the dark portal she conjured. Her butler, ever faithful, welcomed her home with a bow, and did not miss a second in preparing her tea. Rachel absentmindedly pulled her cat-like umbrella inside-out, which screamed in pain before taking form to that of a chair. With a tired sigh, she sank into it and let her thoughts wander to what happened previously as she waited for her tea of arrive.

Finally, finally. Her eyes narrowed when that one word permeated through her mind, as if trying to confirm its unbelieveable truth. Finally, the wheels of fate have begun to turn once more. From here on, Rachel could not know what to expect, for time would no longer repeat itself. With a quiet chuckle and small smile, she looked up at the stars, then focused to their Lord, the moon. While she did not particularly like that she would not be able to observe, she couldn't deny that the prospect was... exciting. She hadn't been this anxious in a very, very long while.

Rachel remembered when she told that to Ragna, quite amused by that baffled look on his face. He never really understood anything, that idiot. Still, she did have to give him credit for finally breaking the cycle. Truth be told, she had nearly given up all hopes of that. It even forced her to break down and show that most humiliating scene to him. If there was one thing she could be thankful for in regards to everyone but her not remembering, it was that he wouldn't remember her being a sobbing mess from that previous loop. Still, remembering his words as the world began to end at that time... the four words "Thank you. I'm sorry." They were words that she would hold dear to her for the rest of her undetermined life.

Her thoughts were broken momentarily as the strong aroma of black tea cut through the soft smell of roses like a knife through butter. Valkenhayn returned with freshly prepared tea to set on the table before her. She leaned over and reached out a pale petite hand to take the cup and saucer, and took a small sip. Darjeeling, her favorite. As she enjoyed her tea, she began to worry. No, 'worry' wasn't the word for it. Perhaps... anxious. She had not thought she would see Terumi so soon again. Her expression became one of disgust as she visualized that maggot's face. If he decided to wedge himself into her affairs, then there was no doubt that he'll continue to do so. Again, and again, and again.

"How terrible..."

Well, 'how terrible' is what she said out loud, but she couldn't help but let out an amused chuckle. She would be lying to herself if she didn't admit inwardly that she was slightly excited over such a thing. With such a dangerous task before her now, Rachel wouldn't be bored for quite a while. Entertainment was much more precious to her than life itself. She daintly set the teacup and saucer back on the table, and began to stretch the red bat-like creature resting on her lap into various uncomfortable directions, then tossed it off nonchalantly. Rachel then stood up and lifted her foot, then struck her heel behind her, ignoring the pained cries from her chair, which got the cue to turn into an umbrella again. With her familiars finally awake, she turned and opened up another portal, then stepped into it.

It was time for her to act.
