A surprise in April

It had been 4 months since the anniversary of Guy and I being together for a year. I was getting use to being called Lady Gisborne and, I was also use to the other married noble women asking and telling me about their families. They had been nagging me for week’s non-stop that I should give Guy a child. I had to had been wanting one myself for what seemed like a lifetime but I had to make sure Guy would be agreed with this idea since the Sheriff had been working him to the bone. I soon figured out that I had to overcome my fear for only a while ago I found out I was with child and had been for four weeks. I hadn't told Guy yet or the Noble women. I wanted to tell Guy at the precise moment. I always wondered what it would be like having a son or a little girl. I knew Guy would want a little boy so he could pass down the lands to his own blood. Yet I knew that he would also want a little girl too, so he could look at her and think of me and see which one gave her the stubbornness. I couldn’t decide which gender; all I knew was that I wanted a strong, and healthy child.

Nottingham Castle

The Sheriff was planning to host a banquet for his sister’s arrival to Nottingham. The planning was not long at all. Guy was let off work early that afternoon seeing the sheriff would no need him anymore that day. He was glad to have been relieved from his tasks. Meaning he would get more time with Marian at Locksley Manor. This made him have peace of mind knowing that Marian and him could have sometime together. He didn't want her to be without him for only some of the time. The only time he would leave her for a long time was when he had to go to London. Besides forcibly having to leave her side he which he hated to do. The only time he would want to have time away from her was when was when they would argue. They normally argued about which one was being stubborn or how Marian should not get into the sheriffs affairs. He wasn’t always 100 percent with the sheriff at some occasions but he didn’t have to be he just had to carry out the mans orders. He especially wanted to be with her right now considering the fact she kept vomiting and was always tired to. He wanted to be sure that she was alright. He wished and prayed he would find out what was wrong with her.

Locksley Manor

I had gotten home wanting to tell Guy my news. I didn’t want to just blurt it out, I wanted to tell him at he opportune time. I was walking out of my stall when I saw Guy ride in. He had a grin upon his face as he looked to see me there. His black Gelding sparkled and shined in the autumn sun. The rider looked striking just as well. He dismounted as the one of the stable boys came over relieving him from his horse. He glided out of his stall as I exited mine. He came towards me as I backed up almost leaning on the door of my stall. He came closer putting each one of his hands on either side of me as if I was being trapped. My back was pressed against the door as he moved in to snatch a kiss. He was so close I could feel his leather clothes brushing over my dress. He tilted his head and leaned his head towards mine. He gently kissed my soft pail light red lips. His touch was the healer of my soul, stress, and reality. He seemed to always take me away to a world un imaginable. I slightly opened my eyes to see the stable boy pointing at us and giggling. I put my hand to his chest notifying him to stop. He backed up as he untrapped me. He then saw the stable boy and glared at him then shoed him off. I saw him give a chuckle after the boy had gone. Then thinking at one time he was the ease dropper. I could see it perfectly. That then reminded me of our child. Watching his father and I smooch where we would think nobody would see. I smiled as my mind imagined it. Guy came over to me with a questionable expression on his face. I then looked up at him with a smile then walked out of the stables and on to the manor. I didn't look back to see his face but I knew he was asking the question "what’s going on with that wife of mine"? I laughed at the thought of it. He seemed to have that question on his face often. I would also always answer with my sweet innocents smile. It seemed to always work.  Guy was always easy to get a hold of. I wonder if a daughter would wrap him around her little finger. Again I laughed at the picture of it. I could only wait so much longer to tell Guy the news. Guy had followed me to the manor, but arrived a little after I did. He took off his light black cloak and handed it to Thornton, our main manservant, at the door. I walked over the fireplace and sat in the center of the floor with my dress draped over me lying on the wood floor. I watched the sparks burn, sizzle, and glow. Guy before I knew it joined me. He sat behind me easing me back to rest on him. His head was over my shoulder and his prickly cheek pressed to mine. He had his arms around my stomach and locked his fingers together holding me close. "So my love, what’s on you mind"? Guy asked. "What do you mean what’s on my mind, your always on my mine"? He chuckled in my ear and kissed my shoulder. I felt perfectly relieved in his loving arms. There were no other arms I would want to be held in. I ran circles and circles with my fingers over my dress. I felt the soft fabric of my safire blue dress. It had been a gift from Guy a while ago. I hadn't been able to wear it very much. I loved the satin core it had. I put my hands on the top of his and leaned my head back on his shoulder. "So there is something you want to tell me". He said with his eyebrows raised. I then took his hands into mind and laid them on top of the middle of my stomach and looked up at him. "You know how I've been tired and sick lately"? I reminded him. "Yes"... He said with a tad bit of a smile on his face. I leaned back at him and put my hand atop of his. "Sir Guy of Gisborne it is my greatest honor to tell you that you will be having a son or a daughter in the future"! I said as I leaned over to place a kiss on his cheek. He lightened his hold on me as I turned to face him. He took my hands into his big gruff hands and brought them up to his lips. " Marian, you have made me the happiest man on this planet"! He said with an uncontrollable grin upon his face.  I leaped towards him and wrapped my hands hugging him close. He laughed as he wrapped his hand behind my back. As we parted he reached out and placed his left hand on the middle of my belly and gently rubbed it. He smiled then gave me a wink. "So, thought of any names yet"? He asked wanting a reply soon. "Well that’s what I need your help with". I replied. "It also depends on the gender of out child and what she or he looks like". You can usually name them when you look at them with your eyes". I informed him. "Matilda will help me throughout the pregnancy so there’s no need to worry". I reassured him again.  I knew he knew some of the risks that were taken while in labor. "April, my darling that’s when we will have our child". I informed him. "A month before our wedding anniversary". Guy said scooting closer to me, "Yes"... I agreed. I went into his arms and laid my head on his chest. His head was on top of mine as he gently stroked my hair.” So how on earth did you get home so early, you don’t do this often"? I asked him. "Well, Marian the sheriff was out of things for me to do so I wanted to be with you instead of the castle with Allen". He replied. "I am very happy you did". I told him. " Have you told anyone else about the baby"? He asked me.  " No I haven’t, Not yet" I replied. " Well, why don’t we tell them our news at tonight’s banquet" He implied.  "That sounds like a marvelous idea" I said with excitement. I traced my fingers over the small bump of my stomach. It didn’t show much but it did when I wore a tight corset. My life would be so different, I was so excited. My life changed when I married now I was on the second step. A step I would more then gladly do once.

Nottingham in the castle

"ALLEN..." The sheriff voice sounded it seemed to echoed throughout the castle. Allen had quickly made his way to the sheriff. Allen wasn't use to taking orders directly from the sheriff. Rather he was use to Guy getting the orders from the sheriff then having Guy bark away the orders to him. When he had made his way to the Sheriff he wished he hadn't. He looked enraged and when he was he'd always put it on someone else's shoulders. The Sheriffs back was to him before he quickly slid is feet to be face to face with Allen. His left eye half opened twitching every now and then made Allen’s bones quiver. Allen listened to him complain about Gisborne choosing to go home. He forgot that he dismissed him almost two hours ago. He must be having a memory lapse. Allen thought in his head. Allen stood there while the Sheriff barked his orders. " You are to find a new scribe since we had to dispose of the last one". The Sheriff instructed. Allen was stating to get use to these instructions and always seemed to go down to the Abbey to find a Scribe. Allen nodded then headed for the stables. He had to first find Guy and tells him the Sheriff excspected to see him that night. The sheriff was forming a scheme and would need Guy and himself to help. He mounted his horse and trotted out the castle gates.

Locksley manor

I was sitting on the stool in front of my vanity. I pulled my hair to the left side of my shoulder and gently began to brush it. Guy was in the other side of the room most likely getting ready for tonight’s banquet. I would not be surprised on what he would wear. Black leather undershirt covered by a masculine jacket with bronze buckles. He could blend into the night if he wanted to. I however put on a scarlet red dress that flowed over my skin. The silk on the sleeves were soft and rested on my bare arms. I gently I put my brushed hair behind my back then pinned my bangs to the side. I wore a silver stoned necklace that had an on it the read ILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND LOVE YOU ALWAYS. It was a gift from Guy. I treasured it and never let those words ever eave my heart or mind. I looked out the window by our bed and watched the sun slowly sink behind the hills  of Sherwood. I swiftly slid from my chair and approached the window. The soft cool breeze swept across my face and through my long brown hair. The air I breathed in was fresh and smelled like the wild flowers that bloomed in the season. I felt a hand come acreoss the back of my head that tasseled through my hair. I closed my eyes savoring his touch
