Additonal notes

Why did I let that kiss last for what seemed a lifetime? I thought this in my head why I was hurrying about my room from corner to corner. Should I have pulled away or should I have not even let him do it I the first place. My mind was in such a confusing haze. I needed to clear my mind and the only way I was going to do that was to leave the castle. I would normally Ride out to Rotheruem and go to the field with the gorgeous blooms that seemed to never die. I grabbed my cape that was thrown over my bed and quickly fastened the tie so it would securely stay on my body. I went straight to my door to exit my chamber with no grace what so ever. When I opened it to my surprise Sarah my main maid was standing right there nearly being ran over by me. Sarah backed up fast and looked at me with a confused face. “Lady Marian where on earth do you think your going at this moment”? Sarah asked me with here eyes practically piercing my soul. Although she asked me a question I didn’t reply by answering it instead I told her to have my dress gently laid out for tonight’s banquet. I walked past her going down the straight stone cold hall. “But lady Marian Sarah lingered”. “If you don’t have time to do it then have Tess, my other maid, have the job done”. I began to briskly walk to the barn. My walk then turned into a run I needed to get out of her it was stifling. The stable boy so me approach the barn he quickly grabbed my horse and lead it right to my side. He handed me the reins and went back to what he was doing. Grooming the stable horses till they gleamed. He looked like he actually enjoyed it and the horses seemed to like him so I always would watch him when he didn’t see me. I mounted my horse and then it hit me. Was I falling in love with a man I thought I would not even share a kiss with? I had to get my mind off of it and just get to Rotheruem.

Even as I road on the North Road I still had that thought racing through my mind. I galloped for what seemed like forever. I finely made it to my destination. When I wanted to clear my mind this is where I normally went when I needed to be left be. Also when I wanted to escape the crazy life I had. I tied my horse to the nearest oak tree and let her graze why I roamed around the field. It was mid day so the sun shone bright and the air was fresh and clean. I saw an acorn tree then an apple tree. Another fact about this place was that almost everything that grew here was gorgeous or edible. I loved the smell of the sweet nectar that was coming through the blooms by the wild flowers. It was like a world that was only mine. I sat near the ever so tall oak tree, and closed my eyes while breathing in the sweet summer air. I ran my fingers through the grass that lay beneath me and felt it lightly rub against my fingers. I looked up to see a bright blue sky filled with long floating clouds. I sometimes wished I were a cloud. So I could drift away and fly on air. Although it’s been rough I have held on ever since. It has just been merely a dream, but even so I never let that stop me from dreaming about it. I popped my head on the oak tree and shut my eyes and drifted away in the afternoon breeze.

Later at the castle

Guy was walking down the castle hall that he obviously new lead to Marian’s room. He had a smile on his face when he reached for the door latched. What they had encountered earlier had made him have a grin on his face. He opened it picturing her sitting at her desk tying up a scroll then looking away from her work then giving him a warm smile his heart seemed to melt when he saw it. When he opened the door he saw the room was empty and cold. He sighed and murmured under his breath. “Where on earth has that girl gone now he said under his breath”? Just then Sarah entered the other side of the chamber looking as if she was very frustrated at something. She looked to see the same empty room he did. She looked absolutely flustered and annoyed at the site of this. Sarah walked in no knowing Guy was on the other side of the room. She began to speak extremely fast and looked as if she was about to yell at someone. These words came madly out of her mouth. “She says she’ll be back soon”. “She thinks she can just go without telling anybody and expect me not to worry. What was that woman thinking”? Sarah said then calming her self. Sarah laid out Marians light blue gorgeous gown for the evening banquet. She turned around to her surprise to see Guy looking at her with his piercing blue bright eyes. “What do you mean she’ll be back soon and don’t worry”? Guy said with sternness in his voice. He looked at her like he would not wait long for a reply. Sarah looked back at him sheepishly She took a step back knowing she had said too much already. “My lord…” Sarah said with hesitation. “Sarah where is Marian I have been meaning to speak with her”? Guy said looking down at her with a straight face. “She said she was going out for a quick ride and would return shortly before tonight’s banquet”. Sarah had informed him. “The banquet begins not long at all”. Guy then began to feel his heart race. “Did she say where she was going”? He asked her with a puzzled face? “No she didn’t I’m sorry sir I wish I knew where she went”. Sarah replied. Guy immediately ran out of the room and called for Allen. Allen heard the call and went straight to Guy. “What do your want”? Allen asked his boss when he was face to face with him. “I want you to go and ride out to find Marian, she is not in the castle and it is beginning to darken”. Guy then instructed him. After he was assigned this he headed straight for the stairs that would then lead him to the stables. In his mind he knew this would be an easy task. The stable boy walked up with his horse and handed him the reins. He knew exactly where he was going, Rotheruem field. He knew that was one of Marian’s quiet spots. He knew that because he had often watched her go there frequently. He hung his head and sighed. “Can’t that woman ever stay in one place for once split second”? He whispered under his breath.

Back at Rotheruem field

I had opened my eyes to see the sun nearly gone. I must have fallen asleep. I then remembered about tonight’s banquet. I shot up my hand and gripped my forehead. How was I supposed to get to there in time when I was almost two hours away from even Locksley. I quickly stood up to find my horse grazing in the field area near by. Her reins where tangled and her bit filled with chewed up grass. I sighed and went over to her. I gently picked up the reins and began UN knotting them one by one. To my surprise I had gotten that done rather quickly. As I was just about to mount I felt warm breath begin to come upon my skin. “So what have you been up out here for all this time”? Allen asked her. My heart then began to beat easier knowing that it was no stranger just Allen. With my back still to him I declared, “I am guessing that Guy sent you to find me”. “Yes once again”. Allen said with an annoyed voice. “I knew you would be here so I came here to make my job less time taking”, he said with a well done confident voice. “When are you coming back to the castle”? Guy is worrying himself to pieces with you gone. Allen informed her. He thought to himself then realized that she probably already knew that. “I know you didn’t think I was going to leave forever did you”? “I am guessing we aren’t going to get back home till at least midnight I mentioned”. “Sorry you had to ride out here I hope this journey won’t be to hard on you”. Marian said with a little spunk in her voice. Nah, forget it I like this place Allen admitted to her. I then mounted my horse and saw him begin to walk to the oak tree I was once at. In my mind I knew he wanted to be alone for a while. I clicked my tongue and cantered into the brush of the woods. I saw the sky go black and the moon arise. I knew my way around even though it was dark. I heard the sound of the crickets sounding away.

The air was mildly warm and humid that told me that a storm was coming. I had rode on the same path directly straight. I then saw some torches and the doors to Nottingham Town. The stable lass recognized me even in this darkness and opened the gate while yawning heavily. He eyes looked like they would fall if blinked to long. I walked my horse through the silent torched streets of Nottingham market then my eyes spotted the podcullis. I saw the guards that were supposed to be on night duty pass out amongst the stone felled street. I wondered how on earth the sheriff would entrust his safety to these UN helpful guards who couldn’t even keep their eyes opened. I dismounted my horse and went to the gate and looked in through a square whole. I saw a guard that was actually awake. He motioned another guard who turned the wheel to open the podcullis. He must have recognized me, which looked very hard to do in the dark. I went back and took control of my tired mare. I lead her to a stable boy who had been up way past his bet time. He grabbed the reins from me and led my horse away. I knew at this hour most everybody would be asleep by now in the castle. I went up the stairs quietly and past the Great Hall where the sheriff held his meetings. I crept down that hall when I heard the doors open. I was stuck in plain site. When I heard the door closed I shifted my feet and turned around and looked at the figure in front of the closed doors. I had no way of not recognizing this stranger for it was Guy. He quickly made his way towards me and then took me into his arms. Since I had been very intimate with him earlier I wasn’t surprised that he was comfortable with holding me close. I rested my head, hands, arms, and head on his chest. I could feel his heart beat slowly but majestically. He began to stroke my hair and kiss my forehead repeatedly. “Where have you been I have been worrying sick about you being gone so long”? He said in my ear then going back to resting his chin on my head while stroking my hair. I like the warmth of his touch and the relaxation of his voice.” I have been away, but you no need to worry for I have returned, as I always will”. I replied. He laughed and pulled me even closer to him. I then wrapped my arms around his waist. I then knew that I was comfortable with him like I never though I would ever have been. I then looked into his eyes. He then pulled me into him and shared with me a everlasting kiss. His lips were warm, soft and pressed tightly against mine. Iran my finger through his short black curls. He had his arms around my waist practically embracing me.   I pulled lightly away from his hold and looked at him so we could see face to face. “I hate that I have to leave you but I am absolutely exhausted”. I said to him with a sigh of weariness. “I bet you are after riding all that way”, a voice said through the torches that did not come from Guys lips.

I UN clung from Guys arms and turned around with my face in an O expression. I turned to see Allen smiling and looking half as tired as I was. “How on earth did you get here so fast”? I asked him in astonishment. “I took a short cut and passed you way before you even made it to Brier Road”. Allen said with a laugh looking at me. I almost forgot that Guy was there. I gave him an innocent smile and began to walk towards him. “Guy, I know your totally no understanding what we are talking about but I reassure you there is nothing to worry about”. Allen came towards Guy and I and asked him if he could be excused for the night. Guy’s answer was yes seeing how tired he was and looked. Allen had left us; Guy then re clung to me. ‘I’m afraid I can’t excuse you, not just yet”. He said with a charming smile he seemed to always and only give Marian. “You look ravishing in midnight air”. Guy said with a deep alluring voice. He then pulled me into an embrace and began to kiss my forehead and rub in a circular motion in the middle of my back. There was something that I always seemed to feel when I was around him. I felt safe, relaxed, free, and happy when I was around him. I loved it when I got these feelings. His affections use to be something I feared no something I needed constantly. I didn’t know what this was, but I really didn’t feel like figuring it out.

Kissed in the moonlight something that made me feel out of this world. He pressed his hand to my cheek and ran his fingers through my wind blown brown curled hair. “You look as if you are going to fall asleep before I even bid you goodnight”, Guy said then kissing me tenderly. Before I knew it he flung me up in his arms. He had his hands under my knees and his head nuzzling hers head in his. I had my head under his chin and my hands rested on his chest as I felt it lightly go up and down. My eyes gently closed as I rested my head on his chest breathing in the warm summer night air. I seemed to float on air as I was in his arms being carried away. Maybe he was my cloud. The one I would drift away with. It all made sense. We had reached my room and the door was already ajar. It looked the same as it did when she was not in it. He then walked over to my mattress and laid me down. I could feel the pillow cushioning my head that made me want to drift of into to an endless slumber. Guy bent over and planted a kiss on my forehead the whispered in my ear “sweet dreams my love”. I then lost sight of him and everything went dark.

Still in that room

Guy knew she was in strong slumber and loved watching her breath easy. He thought he was looking at heaven most beautiful angel. Guy stroked her hair knowing she would not wake up. He wished this moment could last forever. He then accepted that he should leave and let his angel drift away in dreams. He took one more look then closed the door behind him.
