really, people. if there's a flood, who are we going to leave behind to drown? if we run out of food, who are we going to eat? if a band of pagans come to sacrifice all the virgins, who's going up in flames?
i mean, i'm all for simulating those real-life-esque situations.
p.s. there is no such thing as a real-life-esque situation, especially if one cannot determine the degree of realty in which one is living.
also, my philosophy prof said the following today about a posteriori knowledge: "you have to get out of your philosophical armchair and observe the world!" which i thought was funny.
