purposely trying to find other "straight edge" friends is like trying to find people of the same race to hang out with. it shouldn't matter whether or not your friends are what you'd call "straight edge" or not, it should matter more if they are good company, and if they will be loyal friends. what they do with their own lives is their business, unless they force it upon you. then that is like listening to some crazy religious person preach at you, that's not cool. you should be happy for what people you do have, and poking at them and making a big deal that they may "smoke hookah", or weed, or drink alcohol (responsibly) on occassion, isn't cool. nobody likes to be looked down upon, especially by their own friends.
Did I say anything about my current friends? No. I just said, innocently, by the way, that it would be cool to meet some more sXe kids, because maybe sometimes I don't like being the only one who doesn't do that stuff. I don't care if you guys do smoke hookah and drink and whatever. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I didn't say you're not really my friends because you're not sXe. I wasn't looking down on anyone. I don't tell you not to smoke or drink and shit like that. I might poke fun at you guys, but think about all the shit I get from EVERYONE because I've never had a drink or smoked anything. I am happy for the friends I have; I never said I wasn't. Don't be so fucking quick to judge, especially a lj post that was way out of context. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but that really hurt my feelings.
i'm referring more to the time when you talked down towards me, courtney, and vinita for smoking hookah that one night by your computer. your tone of voice didn't suggest that you may have been joking.
