Can't remember where I first heard this scarlett but it always makes me cry. Which I'm doing a lot of today. You are right of course if we are feeling the pain, I cannot imagine what his family and friends are going through. The world has lost one of it's brightest and most iconic stars. His family and loved one's have lost much more.

Thanks Scarlett for posting. L

yes this is a strange poem that seemed to suddenly be in the public consciousness and there are all these urban legends about where it came from and no definitive proof of who wrote this version of it at all as far as I know.
but yes it makes you cry and yet it has a hopeful message so maybe they are good tears.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful poem Scarlett!

I can't believe I'm grieving so much for someone I didn't even know!! I guess that's proof of how talented an actor Heath was. He had the ability to touch so many of us, on so many levels!!

My heart goes out to his family and close friends, I can't begin to imagine their pain!!!But most of all, my heart bleeds for sweet little Matilda who will never again feel her Daddy's arms around her!!!

So much sadness!!!!

His star shone brightly, for such a short time!!

Rest peacefully Heath!!!

yes it is such a terrible thing, terrible and so sad and as you said its a strange feeling to grieve for someone you don't know. It still almost has the feelign of unreality about it to me, like I keep thinking "did that really happen?" but of course it did.
I just hope and pray they do let him rest peacefully.
Take care my dear

I know I've missed being around but I just wasn't so happy anymore, but not with the sweet people, like you, who come here, just so many little things, and one huge big one too (my major struggle with the aparent loss of my muse!!!)
take care hunny

Scarlett...Baby...thanks for posting that poem...and I certainly agree with you that it seems like the perfect words when someone passes...when I heard the news..very early afternoon yesterday...and had recovered..my thoughts went to the Bard's words from Hamlet.."Goodnight sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest" That quote just seems to fit...love and hugs..Michele

yes it does, I just hope that they let him rest, but I noticed our newspapers today seem to be starting the speculation when I'm guessing there aren't going to be any facts for a while longer yet.
And despite all that somehow it still doesn't seem quite real to me, that someone who seemed so very full of life and talent is gone. know it's daft to feel that way, when there are no doubt equally thousands of other vital lovely people who also died too soon on that day and they are only being mourned by their loved ones, but there you go i guess
take care sweetheart
