(no subject)
*One thing I was happy about was the fact that Lily/James is officially love/hate in canon. And I'm a big love/hate fiend so that's cool. ^_^
*I wanted to murder Umbridge throughout the whole book. She was cruel. And the detention she gave Harry was awful. Casey and I muttered many things about her while we were reading. hpnic06 had a great nickname for her, Umbitch.
*Fred and George were...awesome. Full out war against Umbridge. That was so funny. Fireworks, a swamp in the corridor. Just think if they applied their magics elsewhere...better watch out! I do feel bad that they left school though. Yes, they did say they were doing good business at the end of the book...but still.
*I liked Ginny, JK sprung her a personality real quick though, but at least she's not in the background so much anymore.
*Draco...I still like him. Even though he was an annoying little twit. *crosses fingers* I can only hope he won't follow in his father's footsteps. Maybe he should have to write the Sorting Hat Song over and over until it's drilled in his head. ^_^ And we must unite insider her // Or we'll crumble within Just not with the evil quill of Umbridge's
*Luna Lovegood. I really liked her. Quirky and all. We've got a friend to pin Ginny to, and it's someone likeable with an interesting personality. I've noticed that Colin seemed to have dropped out of the picture almost entirely. I'm not going to complain, I only liked some of the Fanon!Colins.
*Sirius...His death still hasn't hit me. I wish he hadn't had to die. He had been couped up in that stupid house with Kreacher (stupid elf) and his mother's portrait. Maybe JK just didn't want to have to write about him having a trial, or figuring out a believeable way for him to have one and pin the blame on Wormtail, I don't know. But his death was rather sudden and useless to me.
*Neville kicks ass. I want him to beat up Malfoy. That would make me happy, even though I like Draco. But Draco does need to be beat up. I like the fact that Ginny cast that Bogey whatsit on him. ^_^
*I was surprised that James was such a jerk. Teenaged boys can be brutal, but...I don't know. He must get better if Lily finally starts seeing him and they get married. I like what I see of Lily's personality.
*Tonks was interesting. She's clumsy -- that's cool, I'm clumsy too. I want to see more of her and Kingsley. I liked Mundungus Fletcher. He was funny. ^_^
*Oh yeah! I liked the part where Harry was all being sulky about Voldemort "possessing" him.
Ginny: Well, that was a bit stupid of you, seeing as you don't know anyone but me who's been possessed by You-Know-Who, and I can tell you how it feels.
Harry: I forgot.
Ginny: Lucky you.
It's nice to know that CoS hasn't completely dropped out of the picture. If that isn't some part of Ginny then I don't know what is. She was possessed by a young Voldemort, that's not the kind of thing you can forget. If JK had left that out, I would have been disappointed.
Not sure what I'm going to do about HSNT and ATCC. Will probably just finish them. Label them as AU or Just with Knowledge to GoF. I'm not going back and re-writing it all. I'll probably write different ships now. Not just D/G. I want to write some R/L. Even H/Hr after all those tid-bits in the book. ^_^ Haha, maybe even Tonks/Mundungus?? *laughs*
