Adam's one of those characters I kind of love to hate, which makes me feel more than a little sorry/worried for Peri. Something tells me that if the Doctor ever finds them, Adam will have a fair bit to answer for.

I'm conflicted about Adam. I've seen too many mini-Adams as I progress through the school system with my own brood. Kids that are smart, but too coddled and have had smoke blown up their asses all their lives. They honestly feel they are working under a different set of rules. It's boggling.

(Christ - I wrote this on the plane home from Writercon. Ouch. I do not advise this a method of producing fic. *itches for red pen*)

I'm working with a student this year who's just on the edge of that. I'm hoping I can be present and aware enough to knock him in the right direction (at least this year). I worry that I won't be.

And, you know, the more I think about it, the more I wonder whether or not this is a kinder out for Peri than she got in canon. I mean, obviously it is. So thank you for that.
