Well boo, I just got an email from Alien Entertainment and the Doctor Who Store which said they are postponing New York TARDIS until 2011. It make sense that they want a little more time in order to organize a quality program but I was really hoping to FINALLY get to a DW convention.

Not that it's all about me, or anything.

I'd heard about that. To tell the truth, I'm a tiny bit relieved, because getting there was going to be difficult this year, and I REALLY want a convention that's closer to home and doesn't require travel over the biggest travel holiday in the country!

That's the reason I was looking forward to it. Halloween and Thanksgiving are simply impossible for me to get away. Gally is on my son's birthday this year so that was torpedoed. This was so close!

Barrowman...Grrrrr..

But, I'm glad they're taking their time rather than rushing the thing. I've only heard praise for ChiTARDIS and would have been disappointed if this didn't measure up.

ChicagoTARDIS is a *superb* convention. Can't compare it to Gally because I've never been, but I've been to Worldcons on down and ChiTARDIS is always well done.

Man, that's too bad. It would've been great to have a local Doctor Who con!

BTW, I just wanted to check and see if you've gotten my emails about the Writercon T-shirts and programs. I'm wondering if maybe the emails aren't going through. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help...
