Please, do not be ashamed of anything. So much of this is... because of me. You have forgiven so much of me, how could I not do the same? Especially when I do not feel that there is anything to forgive.

Scar... you know how I feel about you now. That will not change readily. But I do accept and understand your decision. And so long as it is best for you... perhaps what I wanted was just a silly dream.

Avery, Jack and Jake... it just made me think... well, you know. But it was not fair for me to think such things. To try to force my way into someone else's relationship. For that, I am sorry.

You will never lose me, Scarlett. I promise. And though I may be sad... I know you will always be my friend. If I have your love in some way, then it cannot be so bad... oui?

We are better as friends. I think the only reason why I'm not crying now as is I already knew this within myself. I hope this won't harden your heart towards me completely, but from your words, it doesn't appear that will be the case.

It seems somewhat ironic, we have come to the exact same decision.
