I'd love to go to Church Night at the Warehouse tonight, but I need to pass an exam on Saturday. When it comes to calculus, trigonometry, science and history at what was considered high school level stuff when I was in school, I'm screwed unless I study. I iz stoopid.

You're not stupid. That stuff is hard to remember if you don't use it every day. I was an "A" math student in high school and college -- including in Calculus.

When I re-took first-year Calculus a 18 years later, I found that I had forgotten ALL trigonometry. I had to spend 4 hours one night reviewing trig, and even so, there would be tests where I wrote "I know there is some obvious Trig proof that covers this substitution but I don't recall what it is. I am assuming it is something like " and then just hope for the best.

Remembering things you don't use is HARD.
