Stebbins kicks the data in your face about sex, racism, bioterrorism, prescription drugs, healthcare, and a variety of other current "hot button" topics.

What about Olestra?

Ooo darn. Actually, no Olestra in this one. Sorry, Krystyn ;) I'll keep my eyes open for one that brings anal leakage front and center.

I'm actually more of a Top Chef fan if the truth be told. Except when the chick from Food and Wine wanders in because her eyes are a little too fish-like and it weirds me out. (Catch them in profile -- trust me on this, they don't have an iris so it looks like all pupil -- like one of those new species of fish they drag out of the ocean that live at 17,000 feet and subsist on ghost shrimp and never see actual light -- but you know probably grow to like 30 feet long and could kill a sperm whale if they had too.)

Ahem, what were we discussing?

You know, i've not watched Top Chef before. Mostly because I don't have cable and I can't usually stand to be in the gym long enough to catch it (and when I do, ANTM takes over the gym TVs due to the number of girlie girls in there who don't cook) Anyhow, I really should watch it. It sounds right up my alley (being, ya know, food. *pats giant stomach* ) I'm totally addicted to Project Runway, which is also on Bravo and therefore, i guess, relevant.... I think I need a beer...

gah!

You know how back in the day when you were in middle school and the day before Christmas break was a short day and none of the teachers actually wanted to do anything so they packed all the kids into the auditorium and showed a movie.

No?

Well, that's what they did to us.

And, as if you can't see where this is going, they showed the African Queen. 500 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders hopped up on candy canes and christmas cookies forced to sit through a long black and white film about some haggard old guy and some prissy old woman, both stubborn as hell, stuck on a boat on some river in Africa bitching at each other the entire time until they, gag, fall in love.

Torture.

Honestly, what teacher had that bright idea? They shoulda been fired.

I haven't seen it since. It kinda gives me the shakes just thinking about it. So, yay! on Netflix.
